The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Official Dispatch No. 4134/BCT-DCK on announcing the list of major digital transformation problems of the Industry and Trade sector for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to participate in solving.
Specifically, in response to Official Dispatch No. 873/BKHCN-CNCNTT dated April 16, 2025 of the Ministry of Science and Technology on the announcement of the list of major digital transformation problems of the country's Industry and Trade sector for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to participate in solving, after research, the Ministry of Industry and Trade commented as follows:
Carrying out the assigned tasks in Resolution No. 71/NQ-CP of the Government on amending and updating the Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued a document requesting units based on their functions, tasks, actual situation, specificities of the field, and scope of management to review and propose a list of major digital transformation problems of the Industry and Trade sector to create conditions for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to soon access major problems to research and develop quality products and solutions to serve the country's socio-economic development.

On that basis, the Ministry of Industry and Trade sent the Ministry of Science and Technology a list of major digital transformation problems of the industry and trade sector to connect Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to participate in solving them.
"The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to send the Ministry of Science and Technology lists of major digital transformation problems when new proposals arise from practical management activities of sectors and fields; production and business activities of enterprises in the sector," the Ministry of Industry and Trade's official dispatch stated.
The 6 major problems sent by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to the Ministry of Science and Technology include:
Firstly , build and operate a specialized chemical database to serve the state management of the Industry and Trade sector.
Second , research on simulation technology in the chemical field.
Third , the intelligent monitoring and management system for petroleum products contributes to ensuring national energy security.
Fourth , the national commercial infrastructure network monitoring management system.
Fifth , build and deploy technology maps, technology innovation roadmaps and technology development plans for the fundamental industries of the Industry and Trade sector.
Sixth , applying AI technology and big data in competition management, consumer protection and multi-level marketing activities.
