On the evening of June 3, the group of artists 6 Silk Threads held the opening ceremony of a silk painting exhibition with the theme Weaving Silk Colors , at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association.

The members of the 6 Silk Threads group are students of the artist and excellent teacher Le Thi Kim Bach, including: Thuc Quyen, Do Quyen, Tieu Tan, Luong Hien and Hoang Hong.

Sharing the same love for silk paintings

The exhibition displays 67 works with diverse themes such as: still life, portrait, landscape, natural beauty, family affection, love between couples...

Although each author has his or her own color, style, and expression, the common point of these works is that they are all silk paintings, telling their own stories about people and life.

With its soft, gentle lines, silk paintings make viewers feel more sympathetic, understanding the patience and meticulousness of the artist.

With a creative style that expresses stillness and evokes emotions through light, lines and open space, painter Tran Thuc Quyen evokes childhood memories in viewers.

Her works brought to this exhibition are from a field trip to Hoi An ancient town and images of Ho Chi Minh City where the artist lives.

The highlight in Tran Thuc Quyen's paintings is the door frames symbolizing the connection between the inside and the outside world , between the present and memories.

Her paintings are simple, everyday, quiet but full of emotion.

She exploits familiar topics such as homeland, country, sea and islands with close, loving and respectful emotions from field trips to find materials for writing and composing.

Artist Luong Hien brings to Weaving Silk Colors works with the theme of Family Traditions , containing love, memories and spiritual values.

She tells the story with warm colors and soft lines with the message "keep the family traditions".
