Hoa Son commune builds grassroots cultural life

Village roads and alleys in Dong Bai village, Hoa Son commune (Luong Son) are spacious, clean and beautiful, bearing the mark of the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life associated with building new rural areas.

Along with economic development, the cultural and spiritual life of Dong Bai villagers has improved significantly, the appearance of the countryside is increasingly prosperous. Village roads and alleys have been basically paved, facilitating trade and travel. Cultural houses and sports facilities are fully equipped with sports equipment and tools, meeting the needs of community activities.

Mr. Bui Van Net, Head of Dong Bai Village, shared: After a hard day's work, villagers often go to the cultural house and sports area to relax and socialize. The elderly, women, youth, and children have a place to play and participate in healthy and safe activities. This creates a comfortable atmosphere, relaxes the spirit, and strengthens the solidarity of the village.

Currently, 10/10 villages have cultural houses, of which 4 villages have built new cultural houses, including Dong Goi, Suoi Nay, Bui Tram, Tan Son. The cultural houses are fully equipped with sound equipment, tables and chairs, bookcases, propaganda pictures, newsletters, operating regulations, etc. In addition, they are invested in and supported with amplifiers, desktop microphones, and outdoor sports equipment. The commune also allocates operating costs at 4 million VND/residential area (KDC) to ensure the activities of art and propaganda clubs. The whole commune has developed 10 art teams, 11 clubs with over 500 members, such as sports clubs, domestic violence prevention, no third child, etc.

Implementing the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life associated with building a new rural area, people of all walks of life actively build a bright, green, clean and beautiful environmental landscape. The commune maintains well the activities of models and clubs for environmental protection, climate change response of socio-political organizations, residential area models, roads, zero-waste public places, green, clean and beautiful village roads and alleys in the villages.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Cuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Son commune, said: After being recognized as an advanced new rural area, the commune included the goal of building a model new rural area in implementing the National Target Program on building new rural areas for the period 2021 - 2025 in the resolution of the commune Party Committee. The 5 contents of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" continue to be promoted. To build a new rural area, a clean and beautiful landscape and environment, the commune Fatherland Front coordinates with member organizations to mobilize people and the state to invest in building and upgrading the water supply and drainage system, building and maintaining waste collection and treatment points, not encroaching on roads and sidewalks, planting trees, participating in activities to keep clean and beautiful village roads and alleys.

The movement to build cultural families has been actively implemented with over 96% of households registering. In 2024, the whole commune had 1,581 households achieving cultural families, accounting for 91%. The movement to build cultural residential areas has received attention from Party committees and authorities. The Front Work Committee of residential areas regularly propagates and mobilizes people to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and residential area conventions. 100% of residential areas have conventions, effectively implementing them, contributing to self-management in the community. 10/10 residential areas are recognized as cultural residential areas.

In the area, there are many examples of good people, good deeds, advanced models in the fields of economy, culture, society, many typical individuals in labor, study, land donation for new rural construction, sharing, helping people in difficult circumstances are discovered and commended promptly, creating a spreading effect in the community. Not only uniting to participate in economic development, helping each other to sustainably reduce poverty, people of all ethnic groups also participate in preserving and promoting national cultural identity. The movement of practicing thrift, fighting waste, implementing civilized lifestyle, building cultural families, cultural villages is increasingly more substantial.
