Improving the lives of people in the Da Bac highlands

In mid-May, joy came to teachers and students of Doan Ket Primary and Secondary School, Doan Ket Commune, Da Bac District when the school received a new IT classroom with 21 computers, along with synchronous equipment such as voltage stabilization system, air conditioning system donated by the Military Region 3 Command. This is a practical gift, contributing to modernizing teaching and learning conditions at one of the most difficult schools in Hoa Binh Province.

Doan Ket Primary and Secondary School (Da Bac) received a modern IT classroom, helping to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

On this occasion, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command presented 15 bicycles to disadvantaged students, giving them more motivation to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies. The gifts not only have material significance, but also demonstrate the deep concern of all levels and sectors for the difficult educational cause of the mountainous district of Da Bac. In recent years, thanks to the support of all levels, sectors and localities, along with the joint efforts of the community, Doan Ket commune has benefited from many social security programs for vulnerable groups, and is also the locality where comprehensive support programs and projects are implemented, from infrastructure construction to production development models and livelihood support to improve people's lives.

Not only Doan Ket commune, the development picture of the entire Da Bac district is also gradually showing bright colors thanks to the strong participation of authorities at all levels, the cooperation of the community and the efforts of the local people to improve themselves. Of the 17 communes and towns of the district, 12 communes are in Region III - a particularly difficult area, with more than 89% of the population being ethnic minorities. In particular, as the only district in the province still in the poor category according to Decision No. 353/QD-TTg, dated March 15, 2022 of the Prime Minister , Da Bac district identifies the important and urgent task of sustainable poverty reduction and improving the lives of people in mountainous and particularly difficult areas.

To realize the goal, the district has implemented many synchronous solutions, notably the Project on population stabilization and socio -economic development in the Da River resettlement area with a total investment of 167.7 billion VND. The project is being implemented in Da Bac town and 11 communes: Nanh Nghe, Tien Phong, Vay Nua, Hien Luong, Dong Chum, Toan Son, Dong Ruong, Yen Hoa, Muong Chieng, Cao Son, Tu Ly. The goal is to improve living conditions for households in the Da River reservoir area through the construction of essential infrastructure systems such as community learning centers, cultural houses, inter-hamlet roads, etc.

At the same time, the district actively implements national target programs for the period 2021 - 2025, focusing on career development, job creation, production support, providing preferential credit for poor households... Aiming at sustainable agricultural and forestry development, the district selects and supports people to expand the planting area of ​​high-value crops, suitable for local conditions... These are important resources, contributing to increasing income, stabilizing local livelihoods, gradually changing the face of the countryside, improving the quality of life for people.

According to the leader of the People's Committee of Da Bac district, although the projects and programs use different capital sources, they are effectively integrated to achieve the same major goal: stabilizing the population, improving life, and gradually narrowing the development gap between the Da Bac highlands and favorable areas in the province. The harmonious coordination between levels, sectors and the community has helped optimize investment resources, gradually helping the Da Bac highlands escape poverty and develop sustainably.

Images of brightly lit classrooms, upgraded roads, bridges connecting joy, children going to school on new bicycles and confidently using modern computers… have become vivid symbols of the transformation of the mountainous district of Da Bac. It is the clearest evidence of the spirit of "leaving no one behind", of the tireless efforts of the entire political system and the aspirations of the people here to rise up.
