The islands of Song Tu Tay, An Bang, Nam Yet, Son Ca, Phan Vinh and Tien Nu are expected to be named for roads in Gia Lam district, Hanoi .
On June 19, the Hanoi People's Committee sought opinions on the draft Resolution on naming and adjusting the length of some streets in 2023. Accordingly, the city will name 58 new routes and streets in the following districts: Bac Tu Liem, Cau Giay, Ha Dong, Hoang Mai, Long Bien, Nam Tu Liem, Chuong My, Dan Phuong, Gia Lam, Hoai Duc, My Duc, Quoc Oai, Soc Son, Thanh Tri, Thuong Tin.
The city plans to name the roads in Gia Lam district after 6 islands in the Truong Sa archipelago of Khanh Hoa province. Specifically, An Bang Street is named for the section from the intersection of Ly Thanh Tong Street with the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway overpass to the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway interchange. The road is more than one kilometer long, 8-10 meters wide, with sidewalks on each side of 1-2 meters.
Song Tu Tay Street will start from the intersection with Ly Thanh Tong Street in Da Ton Commune to the intersection with Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway at B1.01 Bridge. The road is 1.2 km long, 8-10 m wide, with sidewalks on each side of 1-2 m.

Nam Yet Street will be from the intersection with Ly Thanh Tong Street to the intersection with the road leading to Dao Xuyen village, Da Ton commune. The road is 1.6 km long, 8-10 m wide, with sidewalks on each side of 1-2 m.
Son Ca Road is planned from the intersection with Ly Thanh Tong Street to the intersection with the road to Da Ton and Kieu Ky communes. The road is 1.7 km long, 8-10 m wide, with 1-2 m sidewalks on each side.
Phan Vinh Street will be from the intersection with the entrance to Hanoi - Hai Phong highway to the intersection with Bac Hung Hai river embankment at lane 342 Kieu Ky. The route is 1.8 km long, 8-10 m wide, with sidewalks on each side of 1-2 m.
Tien Nu Street will be from the intersection with Son Ca Street to the intersection with Bac Hung Hai River dike road at lane 342 Kieu Ky. The street is 2 km long, 8-10 m wide, with sidewalks on each side of 1-2 m.
The city also adjusted the length of two roads and streets. Ha Ke Tan Street, Hoang Mai District, was extended by 470 m to the intersection with Dinh Cong Street at Dinh Cong Bridge. Duong Duc Hien Street, Gia Lam District, was extended by 2.2 km to the intersection with the road to Hanoi University of Textile Technology (bordering Xuan Lam Commune, Thuan Thanh District, Bac Ninh Province).
As planned, the draft resolution on renaming streets will be submitted to the City People's Council for consideration and approval at the meeting in early July.
