The work Uncle Ho's House in the Presidential Palace - author Luong Xuan Nhi displayed in the exhibition
In his opening speech, Director of the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts Nguyen Anh Minh emphasized the great role of President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader, founder of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and a symbol of freedom and peace admired by people around the world .
Uncle Ho's simple life, great revolutionary career and wholehearted devotion to the country and people have become a profound source of inspiration for many artists at home and abroad, creating works of art that not only depict images but are also imbued with respect and love.
The exhibition introduces a variety of genres and materials such as painting, sculpture, embroidery, paper carving and folk statues. The works recreate important milestones in the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh , from his childhood, his journey to find a way to save the country to the years he directly led the Vietnamese revolution.
Some notable works include “Uncle Ho’s Spring Returns to Pac Bo” by artist Duong Tuan, “President Ho Chi Minh Working in the Viet Bac Resistance Zone” by Phan Ke An... Folk artists also contributed to the realistic reproduction of Uncle Ho’s image through embroidery and folk works. In particular, many international artists such as David Thomas (USA) and Lee Sang Phil (Korea) also expressed their admiration for President Ho Chi Minh through impressive portraits.
Director Nguyen Anh Minh affirmed that the exhibition is an opportunity to express deep gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, outstanding cultural figure, and at the same time help the public at home and abroad better understand his great life and career.
The exhibition “Ho Chi Minh in visual arts” is open to visitors until May 30.
