According to a quick report from the Phu Yen Department of Health , Pho Dem Vuon facility has many violations in complying with food safety regulations.
Accordingly, at 8:30 a.m. on June 4, the Department of Health received a report that 7 patients were being treated for food poisoning at Dong Hoa Town Medical Center.
Immediately afterwards, the Department of Health established an inspection team according to Decision No. 376/QD-SYT dated June 4, 2025 on the establishment of an inspection team to comply with food safety laws at Pho Dem Phu Yen Company Limited - Pho Dem Vuon Restaurant, branch 3.
Here, the delegation recorded the following 7 shortcomings of this restaurant:
1. The facility has not presented invoices or origin of food ingredients.
2. Processing, trading and storage areas are susceptible to insects and harmful animals (flies).
3. Failure to ensure cross-contamination between raw and processed foods in kitchen layout.
4. Failure to comply with legal regulations on the 3-step verification regime.
5. Failure to comply with legal regulations on food sample storage.
6. The kitchen drain is clogged.
7. There are no tools to collect and contain garbage and waste that ensure hygiene.
After recording, the delegation requested the facility to stop operating until the above shortcomings and limitations are overcome.
Currently, the Department of Health is coordinating with relevant agencies to trace the origin of the food and investigate the cause of the food poisoning. In addition, the health of the 7 patients mentioned above is temporarily stable and is being monitored and treated.
Like VTC News e-newspaper Information, after a snail buffet at a restaurant named P.D.V branch 3, 7 people had symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea, stomachache and had to be hospitalized.
The leader of Dong Hoa Town Medical Center said that on June 3, the unit received 7 patients suspected of food poisoning. The patients were treated with painkillers and antibiotics, and their health is now stable.
Of these, 6 are members of the same family. They said that on the afternoon of June 2, a group of 10 people ate a snail and seafood buffet at this restaurant for 140,000 VND/person. The two people who did not eat seafood did not have any health problems.
