9 bank leaders receive awards for contributions to the financial services industry

The event “ World Financial Innovation Series - Vietnam 2025 (WFIS)” has just been successfully held in Vietnam. This is the third time this event has been held.

WFIS is the premier annual event for the financial services industry (FSI), held in multiple locations around the globe. The event brings together the entire financial ecosystem, from influential leaders, industry experts, technology pioneers to regulators.

In Vietnam, WFIS will be launched in 2023 with support from the Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA). In 2025, WFIS will be held in Vietnam with the theme “Smarter - Simpler - Faster: Transforming Vietnam’s Financial Revolution”, with the aim of reshaping the future of the financial services industry.

Leaders of the State Bank of Vietnam , leaders of VNBA, and more than 500 senior technology and business leaders from more than 100 banks, insurance companies and financial institutions nationwide attended the event.

With the aim of promoting innovation and enhancing cooperation, WFIS Vietnam 2025 has become a vibrant playground for pioneers, shaping the next development trend of the financial services industry.

Outstanding individuals in the financial services sector were honored.

Along with strategic discussions for the development of the financial services industry, the WFIS Vietnam Awards 2025 Ceremony was also held to honor individuals with the vision to lead the transformation of the banking industry in Vietnam.

As a result, outstanding leaders of banks were honored in 9 important categories.

Specifically, Mr. Tran Cong Quynh Lan, Deputy General Director and Director of Information Technology, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) and Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Director of Information Technology, Techcombank , jointly received the award for Best Information Technology Leader of the Year, thanks to their pioneering role in information technology innovation, improving performance, solving key challenges in the organization and guiding future innovation.

Mr. Le Tien Dung, Director of Data Management, Maritime Bank (MSB), was honored as the Best Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Leader of the Year, for his outstanding leadership in governance, risk and compliance, ensuring the safety of the organization while guiding growth and expansion.

Meanwhile, in the category of Best Customer Experience Innovation Leader of the Year, Mr. Hoang Anh Duc, Director of Customer Experience Management and Process Optimization, Maritime Bank (MSB), was awarded for his outstanding contributions in improving customer experience, creating a seamless and breakthrough journey.

In the category of Best Data and Analytics Leader of the Year, Ms. Pham Thi Nguyet Nga, Data Director, Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB), was honored.

In the category of Best Retail Banking Leader of the Year, Ms. Do Tuyet Trinh, Deputy Director of Retail Banking, HDBank, was recognized as a factor leading growth and implementing effective development strategies in the retail banking sector.

Meanwhile, the Best Marketing Leader of the Year award went to Ms. Nguyen Minh Ha, Director of Marketing Communications, ACB Securities Company (ACBS). The Best Cyber ​​Security Expert of the Year award went to Mr. Van Anh Tuan, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Techcombank.

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Lan Anh, Head of Technology and Operations, Standard Chartered Bank Vietnam, was honored as an Inspiring Female Leader in the Financial Services Industry.
