95 years of Vietnam Rubber Industry accompanying the country

On the morning of October 25, VRG held a celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Indochinese Communist Party; Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Rubber Industry (October 28, 1929 - October 28, 2024), at Eastern College.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Canh - Vice Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises and Mr. Le Thanh Hung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of the Group awarded the title of Emulation Fighter of the Committee to individuals. At the ceremony, the delegates reviewed the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Indochinese Communist Party Cell and the traditional day of the Vietnamese rubber industry. The establishment of the Indochinese Communist Party Cell on the night of October 28, 1929, at Village 3 of the Phu Rieng rubber plantation marked a glorious historical milestone of the Vietnamese rubber industry.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Tran Cong Kha - Member of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group presented the "Phu Rieng Do" award. The solid development of VRG in particular and the Vietnamese rubber industry in general was built on the struggles, sacrifices and tireless work of generations of cadres and workers throughout the 95-year history. Over the past years, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, VRG has still achieved many remarkable achievements, contributing significantly to the economic development, maintaining national defense and security, and stabilizing social security of the country.

Scene of the ceremony To recognize the heroic fighting tradition and great contributions to the revolution of rubber workers, the Party and the State have awarded the Independence Medal, the Gold Star Medal, the Ho Chi Minh Medal, the Military Exploit Medal and many other noble medals. Notably, the rubber industry has 9 collectives as Heroes of the Armed Forces, 10 collectives and 4 individuals as Heroes of Labor in the renovation period.

Ceremony scene Expressing gratitude to generations of workers who have built and contributed to the rubber industry's solid position today, Mr. Le Thanh Hung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of VRG said: "In 2024, celebrating the 127th anniversary of the presence of rubber trees in Vietnam (1897 - 2024) and the 95th anniversary of the Phu Rieng Do tradition are milestones in the history of revolutionary struggle by the determination and extraordinary willpower, the fulcrum, connecting tens of thousands of patriotic hearts of generations of rubber workers. That glorious history remains valuable today, a precious, immortal heritage for today's generation of rubber workers to inherit, actively work and innovate on the path of sustainable development".

Mr. Le Thanh Hung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of VRG delivered the opening speech. Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the former leaders of the Group through the periods, Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh - Former Secretary of the Party Committee, Former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Rubber Corporation, said: "We are the employees of the rubber industry who have fulfilled our tasks to the best of our ability and have always been interested in and followed the development of the Group. We are very happy and appreciate the achievements that the Group has achieved in production and business in recent times. We realize that our leaders from the Group to the member companies are all well-trained and qualified people, and we believe that we will definitely successfully carry out the tasks assigned by the Party and the Government to the Group and the rubber industry".

Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh - Former Party Secretary, Former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Rubber Corporation spoke at the ceremony. Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the young generation of the Group, Mr. Nguyen Minh Thong - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the Group, said: "Over the years, our young generation has continuously inherited and promoted traditions, been proactive and volunteering, innovative and creative. That is clearly demonstrated through the efforts to compete in labor production to contribute to improving labor productivity; not afraid of difficulties, always upholding the spirit of volunteering, taking the lead in all revolutionary movements of the Union. Mr. Nguyen Minh Thong - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the Group spoke at the ceremony. As a locality known as the "capital" of rubber trees, throughout the development process, VRG's affiliated units have made contributions to the development of Binh Phuoc province. Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee affirmed: "Celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of Phu Rieng Do Party Cell, the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army of Binh Phuoc province are extremely proud, because the province has the first Communist Party Cell established in the Southeast region from the rubber workers' movement; has been brave and resilient in the struggle, making great achievements in the history of the workers' movement, the national liberation movement, making worthy contributions to the Vietnamese revolutionary movement".
