Nghe An has achieved many achievements in socialized healthcare and urban development.

Amidst a slowing global economy and declining global trade, and with the domestic economy still facing numerous difficulties and challenges, the agencies of Nghe An province are actively and decisively implementing tasks and solutions according to plan to ensure people's livelihoods and socio-economic development.

Socialization of healthcare

Following a period of effective disease control, the province has continued to improve its medical examination and treatment procedures, professional and technical processes, and quality management in hospitals, creating favorable conditions for patients to access examination and treatment. The socialization of non-public healthcare has yielded significant results in terms of infrastructure, modern equipment, and especially the provision of diverse and high-quality services.

The public sector has made many innovations in providing healthcare services through socialization, significantly improving the problem of overcrowding and satisfying the public with more choices of quality and convenient healthcare services. Inspection, monitoring, and supervision of food hygiene and safety have been strengthened. The health insurance coverage rate reached 89.66%.

The universal education program throughout the province has been implemented effectively. The percentage of schools achieving national recognition is currently 72.68%. Many students have won national awards and prizes in Olympic competitions.

The quality of mass education has improved, as reflected in the national high school graduation exams.

Regarding employment, the province provided jobs for 30,738 workers, including 9,809 who went abroad for work. The province effectively managed and disbursed regular preferential allowances to over 72,740 people who rendered meritorious services to the revolution, with a total payment of nearly 126 billion VND per month. The "Gratitude and Repayment" movement in the province continued to be widely socialized. The province effectively implemented social welfare policies, provided regular community assistance, and offered emergency relief.

Urban development

Planning, construction management, urban development, resource management, and environmental protection have been strengthened with decisive direction. The Provincial People's Committee has directed the rectification of planning and planning management, and the inspection and supervision of construction according to approved plans, especially for housing development projects and high-rise apartment buildings. The review and inspection of land and mineral resource plans continue; focusing on directing district-level People's Committees in issuing land use certificates to citizens. Timely and correct implementation of legal regulations regarding the assessment of needs and conditions, land allocation and leasing, and issuance of land use certificates in the province; determining land prices, appraisal, and licensing in the fields of land, mineral resources, water resources, and environment...

The province has also made significant progress in administrative reform, bringing convenience to citizens and businesses. Administrative discipline and order continue to be strengthened and have seen many positive changes. The application of information technology in management, direction, operation, and public service implementation is being given attention by all levels and sectors.

Regarding national defense and security, the armed forces regularly patrol and control, implementing comprehensive measures to combat and prevent threats, and proactively handling situations to avoid being caught off guard. They proactively prevent, combat, and neutralize the activities of reactionary and subversive elements, and advise on and coordinate the effective resolution of incidents arising related to religion, disputes, and lawsuits among the people.

The fight against and suppression of all types of crime has been intensified, with a high rate of investigation and clarification of criminal cases exceeding 88%; many major criminal and drug-related cases have been successfully solved. The work of building up the force and logistics has been carried out effectively, especially the decisive deployment of regular police officers to assume the position of commune police chief. Inspection work, receiving citizens, and resolving petitions and complaints from the people have been carried out effectively, achieving a rate of 90%.
