The album "Sound of Time" was intentionally arranged by Bao Anh Taruki in a chronological order as a narrative, a nostalgic line about what happened and passed in his life.

The album has Vietnamese - Japanese cultural colors with 7 medleys: "Melodies of life" (Nobuo Uematsu), "Midday dream" (Giang Son), "Laputa" (Joe Hisaishi), "May rain" (Tran Lap - Tran Tuan Hung), "A town with an ocean view" (Joe Hisaishi), "Even though it's not you" (Dinh Manh Ninh) and "Morning freshness" (Lan Pham).

In addition, the artist also released the music videos "Afternoon Dream," "A town with an ocean view" and "Sora mo toberu hazu" (roughly translated: "I can fly up to the sky").

According to Bao Anh Taruki, the 7 songs above were chosen by him because they are all associated with major events in his life.

The music color in the album is not only gentle, romantic, pure, and cheerful like Bao Anh Taruki's personality, but also brings healing feelings.

Notably, the album was arranged by three musicians Luu Ha An, Thanh Vuong and Nguyen Viet Hung. People's Artist Thai Bao himself was surprised: "I don't know how he was able to convince a talented and demanding musician like Luu Ha An to agree to arrange the music for this album."

Musician Luu Ha An revealed that he spent a lot of time and brainpower on arranging the two songs in the album.

"Receiving an invitation from a young person, with a large age gap, I was confused because of the two different perspectives, two different paths, two different musical languages.

These are all famous works and they were arranged for an instrumentalist, not a singer, so I felt quite pressured, having to refer to many recordings, trying to highlight Bao Anh's trumpet sound above all else," musician Luu Ha An shared.

Although he is a "family member", Bao Anh Taruki revealed that he felt a lot of pressure. Because this was the first time he made an album by himself, he had no experience but had to worry about everything, from finances to choosing musical works, contacting musicians, contacting bands...

"In addition, when making this album, I had to record some songs over and over again to get the most satisfactory version.

As for the song "Even if it's not you", although the mix is only 5 minutes long, it took me 4 hours to record. Walking out of the studio, I was exhausted but felt like I had reached the ultimate "satisfaction" in music", the artist confided.

Artist Nguyen Bao Anh and the band performed the song "Midday Dream" at the press conference.

Artist Bao Anh Taruki's real name is Nguyen Bao Anh. Since grade 6, his parents sent him to study clarinet at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, taught by lecturer Quoc Bao.

Later, he was one of the excellent students of famous Saxophonists such as: Quyen Thien Dac, Tran Manh Tuan, Tung Sax...

After graduating, Bao Anh joined the Vietnam National Music, Dance and Dance Theater - where both her parents had worked and contributed for many years.

Recently, Bao Anh Taruki won the "Outstanding Saxophone Performer" award at the 2024 National Band Festival organized by the Vietnam Musicians Association, the Hanoi Music Association and the People's Committee of Son Tay Town.
