On July 20, Mr. Bui Quoc Thai - Director of the Department of Tourism of An Giang province - said that the unit had sent an official dispatch to the People's Committee of Phu Quoc special zone, the People's Committee of Kien Hai special zone and related units in the province about ensuring safety for tourists during the impact of storm No. 3.

Localities with bustling island tourism activities such as Phu Quoc, Ha Tien, Nam Du, Hon Son (Kien Hai special zone) need to closely monitor weather information to proactively check and notify tourism businesses to have appropriate solutions to avoid rain and thunderstorms.

"Tourism service businesses must remind, closely monitor and ensure the safety of tourists; outdoor activities such as beaches, swimming pools or beaches must have lifeguards on duty, warning signs must be banned, and especially canoe tours around the island must not take tourists to places with big waves, strong winds and danger," Mr. Thai emphasized.

An Giang Department of Tourism said that in the first 6 months of 2025, An Giang welcomed more than 14.2 million visitors; international visitors are estimated to welcome more than 900,000, total tourism revenue is estimated to reach more than 37,400 billion VND.

An Giang has great potential for tourism development from sacred forests to jade seas, especially the canoe tour to visit islands within islands in Phu Quoc, which attracts domestic and foreign tourists to experience diving to see corals, swimming and playing sports games on the sea.

"Due to the impact of storm No. 3, Phu Quoc has had rain and wind for the past two days. We always deploy lifeguards for sea tourism activities to ensure the safety of visitors," said Mr. Nguyen Ha Trieu - director of operations of Nautilus yacht in An Thoi, Phu Quoc special zone.

According to the forecast of An Giang Province Hydrometeorological Station, due to the influence of storm No. 3, from July 21 to 23, the sea area from Ca Mau - An Giang - Phu Quoc will have southwest wind level 4, sometimes level 5; the height of the sea waves is nearly 2m.

An Giang sea area sometimes has rain, thunderstorms and during thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind level 6 to level 7.
