At around 11:30 p.m., the convoy carrying the cannons arrived at Ben Bach Dang Park (District 1) for installation. The cannons, weighing about 4 tons, were moved from Brigade 96 (Artillery Corps) in Long Thanh District (Dong Nai Province) to Ho Chi Minh City.

The specialized convoy of military vehicles carrying artillery was escorted by functional forces, moving at night to ensure safety and limit impact on traffic.

According to the reporter, at about 11:30 p.m. on April 6, a convoy of specialized vehicles carrying artillery arrived at Bach Dang Wharf, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

The Army forces urgently installed fireworks at the planned area at Bach Dang Wharf.

According to observations, each cannon was carefully transported and arranged evenly on military trucks. As soon as it arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, the Army force quickly installed it in the planned area for the ceremonial cannon at Bach Dang Wharf.

The artillery team consisted of 233 officers and soldiers of Brigade 96. In addition to the artillery, Brigade 96 also prepared a fence with 250 posts and carpets about 90m long. The ground of the battlefield must be flat and sturdy so that when fired, it creates a uniform explosion sound.

According to the plan, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification will include a military parade with about 13,000 people, firing 21 cannon shots to the background of the Vietnamese National Anthem. In particular, the air force will use helicopters, Yak-130, Su-30MK2, to fly to celebrate this historic event.
