The Ukrainian leader was particularly impressed with the strong economic reforms of President Milei's administration, especially in the field of free trade and efforts to control inflation.
"Argentina shows that determination and will to change can bring remarkable results in the country's development," Mr. Zelensky said, emphasizing the importance of a reliable alliance between the two countries.
Meanwhile, on December 27, the Argentine government rejected all accusations from Venezuela regarding the case of a gendarme of this country being arrested by the Venezuelan government and brought to trial on charges of "being involved in terrorist activities".
Speaking at a press conference in Buenos Aires, Argentine Foreign Minister Gerardo Werthein accused the Venezuelan government of "lying and making up stories", and affirmed that the non-commissioned officer entered Venezuela to visit relatives.
Earlier, Venezuelan Justice Minister Tarek William Saab announced that Gendarmerie Nahuel Agustín Gallo "attempted to enter irregularly" into Venezuelan territory while "hiding his criminal plans under the guise of a family visit." According to Saab, Gallo is linked to "international far-right groups" and will be prosecuted for carrying out "destabilizing and terrorist" acts.
