Manager Unai Emery has been cautious about Kamara's future, but has admitted that Aston Villa are in contract talks with the midfielder. According to The Guardian , discussions between the two parties are progressing positively.
Manager Unai Emery highly values Kamara and sees him as an important part of the Villa Park team's long-term plans. Although Kamara's contract with Aston Villa still has two years left, Emery wants the English club to tie down the defensive midfielder with a new contract soon.
Since joining Villa on a free transfer from Marseille in the summer of 2022, the midfielder with Vietnamese blood has played well and contributed greatly to helping the English team win a ticket to the Champions League.
Boubacar Kamara was born in France to a Senegalese father and a French mother. However, he has a Vietnamese grandmother, similar to the case of former player Yohan Cabaye.
He is a product of the Marseille youth academy and has been playing for the French national team since 2022. Previously, coach Aliou Cissé tried to convince Kamara to play for the Senegal national team but failed. Currently, according to the transfer site Transfermarkt, Boubacar Kamara is valued at 38 million euros.
