Bac Giang won the Gold Medal at the 2025 National Individual Sepak Takraw Championship - News details

From April 19 to 27, 2025, at the Sports and Physical Training Center of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the Vietnam Sports Department, the Vietnam Sepak Takraw Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province organized the 2025 National Individual Sepak Takraw Championship.

The tournament attracted the participation of 262 male and female athletes from 11 provinces and cities across the country, including: Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Dong Thap, Phu Tho, Bac Giang, Hai Phong, Yen Bai, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa and Hue. The athletes competed in the following events: Men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, men's teams, women's teams, men's teams of 3 and women's teams of 3.

This tournament aims to maintain and develop shuttlecock in the whole country, is an opportunity for athletes from provincial teams to compete, and is also an opportunity for experts to evaluate athlete training in order to have a direction for investment, training, and selection of athletes to participate in regional and international tournaments.

Athletes Phung Manh Tu and Nguyen Thi Thu Uyen ( Bac Giang , podium number 1) received gold medals at the tournament;

Bac Giang men's team (podium number 2) received silver medal at the tournament;

Coach and athletes of Bac Giang delegation with achievements at the tournament.

The Bac Giang Province Sepak Takraw Team with 15 athletes competed hard to win 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal, 1 Bronze Medal; in which, the Gold Medal in the mixed doubles event was won by athletes Phung Manh Tu and Nguyen Thi Thu Uyen./ .
