Bac Giang upgrades and expands provincial road 293

Accordingly, the investment project to upgrade and expand DT.293 route has a total investment of about 1,799 billion VND (from the provincial budget). The total length of the project is about 8.92 km, including the section from the starting point Km3+380 (Tan Tien ward, Bac Giang city) to the end point Km7+400 (Van Son bridge) and the section from Km8+400 to the end point Km13+300 (the branch line intersection to Vinh Nghiem pagoda, Lan Mau commune, Luc Nam district).

The project has a roadbed width of 58.5m, road surface width of 21.0m, median width of 1.5m, side median width of 4.0m; and frontage road width of 18.0m on both sides.

Bridges on the route are newly invested and expanded in accordance with the scale of the road section; the bridge is designed as a permanent bridge, in compliance with current standards and regulations. The intersections on the route are invested and expanded according to the planning and in accordance with the scale of the road expansion. The project is expected to start implementation from 2025 and is expected to be completed and put into use in 2028.

The investment in upgrading and expanding the route aims to gradually complete the planned traffic infrastructure; strengthen regional and area traffic connections; improve conditions and enhance the capacity of exploiting the route; reduce congestion and limit traffic accidents; contribute to expanding urban space, promoting socio -economic development; ensure national defense and security. At the same time, promote the investment efficiency of a number of projects that have been and are being invested in the area.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Project Management Board for Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to complete the Feasibility Study Report of the project Upgrading and Expanding Provincial Road 293, from Bac Giang city to the branch line to Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, and submit it to the competent authority to decide on project investment in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Public Investment and relevant laws.
