Bac Giang: Summary of Ca Tru teaching training class in 2025

On the morning of April 18, 2025, the Bac Giang Provincial Center for Culture and Tourism Promotion (VHXTDL) held a summary of the 2025 Ca Tru teaching training course. Attending the event were comrade Nguyen Si Cam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders, officials and employees of the VHXTDL Center, representatives of the Department of Culture and Family Management; Centers for Culture, Information and Sports of districts, towns and cities; teachers and students of the training course.

The performances were reported at the closing ceremony.

The training course took place from April 8-18, 2025 at the Hall of the Center for Culture, Sports and Tourism, with 26 students from Lang Giang and Hiep Hoa districts, Bac Giang city, Tan Yen district and Viet Yen town. Meritorious Artist Quynh Mai and Kep dan Tran Thanh Liem, Bac Giang Provincial Cheo Theater were the teachers of the course. During the training, students were equipped with knowledge about Ca Tru such as: Origin, history, artistic characteristics, singing techniques, clappers, Dan Day and practiced some typical melodies such as: "Hat noi", "Ru hon", "Ty ba hanh", "Thi noi"... This is an activity to preserve and promote the value of Ca Tru heritage, which has been listed by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection.

Comrade Nguyen Si Cam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, presented flowers to congratulate the establishment of the Song Thuong Ca Tru Club.

Reporting at the training course summary, the trainees performed 8 pieces in the following styles: 5 đàn quả, Bắc Phấn, Mươu Nói, Thét Nhạc, 36 điện thoại, Hue tình... In particular, the performance of singer Dương Hoàng Linh Nhi (11 years old) from Bắc Giang city, left a special mark, showing the vitality of Ca trù in the young generation.

Speaking here, comrade Nguyen Si Cam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism acknowledged and highly appreciated the organization of the class; especially the serious learning spirit of the students, the enthusiasm for teaching of the teachers. He emphasized the role of Ca Tru in the treasure of national cultural heritage; at the same time, affirmed: preserving and promoting this art form is not only the responsibility of the cultural sector, but also requires the active participation of localities, establishments and the community. He suggested that in the coming time, the Center for Culture, Sports and Tourism, units continue to coordinate to organize training courses, teach and practice Ca Tru art, replicate good models, creative ways, to spread more widely in the cultural life of the community./.
