On April 28, Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy issued a statement refuting information on social networks and word of mouth in recent days about a romantic relationship between an international student and a school official.

The school confirms that this information is completely false.

The school said that after receiving information about an international student having a romantic relationship with a school official, the school's leadership directed the international cooperation department and a representative of the school's Youth Union executive committee to hold a meeting on April 23 with the head of the international student delegation and the international student.

At the meeting, the international student confirmed: "During my time studying at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, there was no emotional relationship or any action that caused physical or mental harm between me and the school staff."

On April 25, the school's Party Executive Committee met to review the information and affirmed that the rumors were completely false and baseless, affecting the reputation of the school, its staff and students.

The school's notice was sent to all units and all officials and employees in the school, and clearly stated: "If any group or individual makes statements or disseminates false information about the above incident, they will be fully responsible before the law and the school."
