In 2025, in the context of the City's transition to a two-level local government model with many difficulties and challenges, the PTKV 2 - Phu Loi Command Board proactively advised and maintained strict combat readiness, maintained discipline and regularity. The unit organized 1,602 patrols with the participation of more than 4,500 officers and soldiers; coordinated to ensure security and order in 28 communes and wards; supported the evacuation of 214 households deeply flooded along the Saigon River and successfully completed the coordination work to prepare for military recruitment in 2026.

At the conference, delegates from agencies, units and localities focused on proposing solutions to improve the quality of coordination in handling situations; strengthen training of militia forces as required; promote the application of digital transformation in local management and information processing; proactively prepare forces and means for natural disaster prevention, search and rescue.

In his speech, Major General Phan Quoc Viet acknowledged and commended the efforts of the PTKV 2 - Phu Loi Command; at the same time, he requested the unit to continue to promote its sense of responsibility, improve its staff capacity, proactively grasp the situation, be ready to respond to all situations, and excellently complete the military and defense tasks in 2026; at the same time, continue to carry out policy work well and strengthen the national defense in the special urban area.
