Home Credit's 2024 Sustainability Report: From Strategy to Action, It's All About People

The 2024 Sustainable Development Report shows Home Credit Vietnam's strategic orientation of putting people at the center of all initiatives and operations.

Home Credit is one of the first consumer finance companies in Vietnam to publish the 2024 Sustainable Development Report, once again affirming its pioneering position in sustainable development in the market.

People are at the heart of the journey to sustainable development

In the newly released report, Home Credit clearly stated its sustainable development orientation with people as the focus. Each initiative is systematically built and implemented to bring practical and long-term value to stakeholders, from customers, partners, investors, employees, to the government and the community.

“Our strategy is to put customers at the center, commit to understanding and constantly innovating to meet the increasing needs of customers with integrity. This principle is the guiding principle for all sustainable development activities in 2024,” affirmed Mr. Jakub Kudrna - Director of Business Strategy and Chairman of ESG Steering Committee of Home Credit Vietnam.

Based on the core of human, Home Credit's commitment to sustainable development is realized through 6 strategic pillars: Responsible finance, financial inclusion, empowerment in a digital transformation environment, diverse workforce, sustainable community and economic growth.

Notably, in this report, Home Credit has proactively improved its data collection and reporting methods, demonstrating transparency even in non-financial reporting, to improve reporting quality and strengthen stakeholder trust. The report continues to be built according to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

Sustainable growth in all aspects

According to the 2024 Sustainable Development Report, the company's community support activities have created many positive impacts, typically the construction and renovation of many schools in difficult areas in Gia Lai, Nghe An, Dak Lak ... bringing better learning opportunities to 2,700 children. In addition to the programs implemented by the company, many employees are also inspired to proactively organize volunteer trips. According to the report, the total amount that Home Credit Vietnam and individual employees contributed to the community in 2024 reached more than 8.3 billion VND.

According to the 2024 Sustainable Development Report, Home Credit has made new strides in promoting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive (DEI) working environment. The proportion of female employees has remained stable over the years, equivalent to about 60% of the workforce at Home Credit, in which the group of female talents in the technology field is constantly increasing.

With a human-centered orientation, Home Credit Vietnam attaches special importance to talent training, believing that this is a long-term investment that helps improve the capacity of the entire organization. Each employee is also encouraged to build their own career development plan, with professional advice from the leadership. This is also one of the reasons why Home Credit Vietnam is continuously honored in the Top 100 best places to work in Vietnam.

Notably, on August 14, 2025, at the HR Asia Awards 2025 ceremony, Home Credit continued to be honored as “Best Place to Work in Asia” for the 5th consecutive time. This prestigious award was voted by HR Asia, Asia's leading human resources magazine.

At the same time, effective corporate governance and solid risk management continue to be the core foundation of Home Credit. In 2024, the consumer finance company recorded a non-performing loan (NPL) ratio of only 1.76% - significantly lower than the industry average of 8.4%, and a marked improvement from 2.49% in 2023. The outstanding results reflect Home Credit's strong risk management capabilities and responsible lending principles.

Thanks to that, the company was given an A-level long-term issuer credit rating with a stable outlook by FiinRatings. The unit recognized Home Credit Vietnam as the most effective recovery company in the consumer finance industry in 2024. The company achieved a net profit of VND 1,290.9 billion, an increase of nearly 244% compared to 2023.

In addition to effective business operations, Home Credit also promotes cooperation with major partners, providing many attractive incentive programs exclusively for green products such as VinFast and Honda electric vehicles to contribute to promoting green consumption habits in the community.

In particular, over the years, Home Credit Vietnam has continuously monitored and calculated its carbon footprint according to ISO14064 standards. On that basis, the company has launched many initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint, such as the Home Green internal recycling project, or applying an energy sensor system in the office... Thanks to energy-saving initiatives in the workplace, the report said that in 2024, Home Credit's scope 2 emissions (energy consumption such as electricity, water, etc.) have significantly decreased.

With its efforts in the journey of sustainable development, for 3 consecutive years, Home Credit has been honored by the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in the Top 100 sustainable development enterprises in Vietnam, and also in the Top 50 sustainable development enterprises voted by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine. In addition, the Global CSR & ESG Award has recognized Home Credit as a Pioneer in sustainable development & global social responsibility for the past 4 years.
