Ensuring fire safety during the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and International Labor Day (May 1), officials, civil servants, public employees and workers will have 5 consecutive days off, lasting from April 30 to May 4. To proactively ensure fire prevention and fighting safety, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH), Tay Ninh Police recommends a number of safety measures to organizations and individuals.

For production and business establishments, the head of the establishment needs to pay attention to organizing propaganda, reminding officers, employees and workers to strictly comply with fire prevention and fighting regulations; increase self-inspection, promptly correct shortcomings that may cause fire and explosion; arrange materials and goods away from fire and heat sources; ensure conditions for on-site fire fighting forces to operate effectively; increase regular patrols and guards, especially at night to promptly detect and extinguish fires as soon as they arise, to prevent large fires from occurring and causing serious damage.

In residential areas, local People's Committees need to build and maintain the activities of civil defense forces and fire safety models such as: Inter-family fire safety teams, public fire fighting points; develop fire fighting plans and organize civil defense teams to practice handling simulated fire situations close to reality; build a coordination mechanism between the Fire Police and Rescue, Police, Electricity, Water Supply, Medical ... forces to handle situations of power outages, water supply for fire fighting, ambulance, traffic... At the same time, strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to comply with the provisions of the law on fire prevention and fighting.

For households, it is necessary to regularly check the electrical system, electrical equipment, stoves, etc. to promptly overcome fire risks; turn off the fire source and disconnect electrical equipment when not in use; be careful when burning incense, burning votive paper, burning garbage; equip early fire warning devices, gas leak alarms, portable fire extinguishers, crowbars, fire fighting water and instruct family members on how to use them; prepare and practice escape plans for people and property to prevent fires from occurring.

Every citizen needs to promote a sense of responsibility in fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue work, equip themselves with fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue knowledge and skills; strictly follow safety regulations and rules.

When detecting a fire, quickly alert everyone around; turn off the power; use initial fire fighting equipment to put out the fire, and at the same time report the fire to the Fire Police and Rescue Force via phone number 114 or the local Commune Police and actively participate in fire fighting, rescuing people and property.
