Ensuring adequate electricity supply during peak periods in 2025

Accordingly, regarding investment in construction of power projects, the Departments of Industry and Trade, Finance, Agriculture and Environment, Construction and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities are required to closely follow the progress of implementation of power projects in the province.

Regularly urge and request investors to coordinate with localities, departments, branches and related units to focus on speeding up the completion of administrative procedures, compensation for site clearance, land allocation, land lease, investment and construction to put the project into operation according to the set schedule.

Promptly and thoroughly handle difficulties and problems within authority, report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on matters beyond authority.

Preside over and coordinate with sectors and localities to create all favorable conditions for the development of rooftop solar power, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Consulting on solutions to promote rapid implementation of investment attraction and selection of investors for renewable energy projects approved in Power Plan VIII and Provincial Plan.

Regarding the implementation of electricity saving, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, agencies, units, and electricity customers to propagate, thoroughly understand, and widely deploy to all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in agencies, units, and all people to seriously implement Directive No. 1/CT-TTg dated January 3, 2025 of the Prime Minister on proactive solutions to ensure adequate electricity supply for production, business, and people's lives during peak periods in 2025 and the period 2026-2030; Decision No. 121/QD-UBND dated February 12, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the electricity supply plan in 2025 when the national power system lacks power and ensures safe operation of the power system when the load increases, causing the risk of overload or incidents.

Continue to promote the deployment and effective implementation of tasks and solutions to enhance electricity saving in the period of 2023-2025 and the following years in the province according to the direction of the Prime Minister in Directive No. 20/CT-TTg dated June 8, 2023 and of the Provincial People's Committee in Plan No. 44/KH-UBND dated August 24, 2023.

Proactively review and inspect the use of electricity economically and develop programs, plans and solutions to save electricity; apply advanced technology, use renewable energy, replace energy-consuming equipment to improve efficiency in electricity use.

Require Bac Giang Electricity Company to organize work with electricity customers to sign agreements on load adjustment, load shifting, commitment to save electricity, mobilize generators; organize supervision and inspection of the implementation of signed agreements and commitments.

Monitor and closely follow the electricity usage situation to promptly adjust the optimal operation plan to ensure the safety of the power system and stabilize the power supply. When adjusting to reduce the power usage capacity or stop the power supply, customers must be promptly notified according to regulations so that customers can proactively plan their production and daily life.

Enterprises in the province need to develop reasonable production plans; ensure the correct use of capacity and load chart. Participate in signing agreements and implementing load adjustment (DR) in accordance with the commitment with Bac Giang Electricity Company, proactively be ready to operate the enterprise's backup generator when the national power system lacks power. Deploy the installation of self-produced and self-consumed renewable energy sources according to regulations; prioritize the use of equipment labeled with high-efficiency energy, etc.

Bac Giang Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station will edit news and articles on the direction of the Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Electricity sector in implementing electricity saving, especially during the peak hot season of 2025.

Coordinate with the electricity sector to propagate to agencies, units, businesses and people in the province to save electricity, use electricity reasonably and effectively and comply with regulations to ensure safe and stable electricity supply, and prepare production scenarios suitable for situations that may arise.
