Not only taking care of and protecting the health of soldiers, the military medical forces also directly support the care and treatment of thousands of fishermen, thereby contributing to strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people, enhancing the combined strength in carrying out the task of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Over the past years, the Military Medical Force has proactively and actively carried out effectively the task of ensuring Military Medicine for the Truong Sa - DK1 archipelago, focusing on the tasks of combat readiness, training, prevention and control of natural disasters, catastrophes, and search and rescue. The work of ensuring Military Medicine has been researched, organized closely, unified, complete, and interconnected from the Military Medicine on the platforms, Military Medicine on submerged islands, infirmaries on floating islands, infirmaries on island clusters, and the system of hospitals on the mainland. In particular, the Military Medical Force on duty at the Truong Sa - DK1 archipelago has proactively, actively, and coordinated with emergency forces to treat fishermen, people, and workers. On average, hundreds of cases of serious illness have been saved every year. Medical equipment and medicines are regularly reinforced and modernized to meet treatment and emergency requirements.
