Vietnam Museum of Ethnology opens exhibition "Green Environment"

On August 30, 2024, the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups opened the exhibition "Green Environment - Sustainable Future" and organized experiential activities to spread the positive values of changing awareness as well as actions to improve the environment.

Global warming, melting ice, desertification, loss of biodiversity, plastic waste pollution… are environmental problems that the whole world has been and is facing today. It is extremely necessary to understand the current environmental situation of each individual living on earth in order to take practical actions to protect the natural environment and living environment.

“Green Environment - Sustainable Future” is a message sent to the public through a synthesis of some research results on the implementation of environmental tasks of the Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures from 2016 to 2022. Through photos and artifacts, the exhibition reflects the current state of pollution of the natural environment and living environment caused by human production and living activities, thereby hoping to contribute to promoting and raising public awareness in environmental protection, encouraging production and use of environmentally friendly materials to protect public health, towards a green and sustainable future.

In addition, a number of experiential activities and traditional craft practices associated with the exhibition space will give visitors the opportunity to experience weaving crafts, dyeing fabrics from natural materials, and creating new products from recycling plastic waste...

In a series of activities to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024), on August 30, 2024, the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups opened the exhibition "Green Environment - Sustainable Future" and organized experiential activities to spread the positive values of changing awareness as well as actions to improve the environment, so that each individual and each community can join hands to protect the natural environment and living environment, create clean and safe products, ensuring a sustainable future for humans and our planet.
