Tuoi Tre Newspaper won second prize for writing about Ho Chi Minh City education 2025

The series of articles '50 years of high school graduation exams' by Tuoi Tre newspaper was awarded second prize in the "For the cause of developing education in Ho Chi Minh City" journalism award in 2025.

The award ceremony on the afternoon of November 18 was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training. This year, there was 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 5 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes for 58 authors from 17 central and Ho Chi Minh City press agencies.

First prize was awarded to the group of authors of Education and Times newspaper with the series of articles "Ho Chi Minh City Education 50 years after the country's reunification".

Among the authors of this series of articles is Mr. Le Ngoc Diep, former Head of the Primary Education Department (Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City).

Mr. Diep shared that in 1994-1995, the city's education sector promoted the movement to eliminate illiteracy and universalize primary education.

Teachers at that time worked very hard, especially in remote areas, trying their best to create the miracle of universal primary education in the city at that time.

Tuoi Tre Newspaper won second prize with the series of articles "50 years of high school graduation exams" by authors: Minh Giang, Vinh Ha, Thanh Chung.

The 6-part series was published on the occasion of the 2025 high school graduation exam, exactly 50 years after the high school graduation exam took place after the country's reunification.

The materials of the series provide readers with a lot of information about the first graduation exam in the South after the country's reunification to the first nationwide unified exam.

The series also reviews important changes to the exam from its name, subjects, purpose, organization method, and shocking cheating cases in the history of this exam.
