3 trucks carrying foreign wine worth over 15 billion VND were caught in Binh Duong

During the inspection, the authorities discovered 15,818 bottles of foreign wine of various types without the required import wine stamps. At the time of the inspection, the driver was also unable to present invoices or documents proving the origin of the goods.

Nearly 16,000 bottles of foreign wine with signs of violations were discovered.

The value of the shipment is up to 15 billion VND.

Recently, on January 23, Market Management Team No. 2, Market Management Department of Phu Yen province coordinated with the Economic Police Department, Traffic Police Department of Phu Yen province to inspect vehicle with license plate 75C-05298 driven by driver Nguyen Thanh Tuan (residing in Thua Thien Hue) traveling through the province in the North-South direction. Through the inspection, the vehicle was found to be transporting 318 boxes with 1,908 bottles of Chivas 18 wine worth 2.8 billion VND.

Working with the authorities, the driver initially confessed that Tuan received the wine in Thua Thien Hue province and delivered it to Ho Chi Minh City. All of the wine had foreign labels, but no import stamps.
