More than 7 million applications for university and college admission in 2025

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, as of 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, July 28, the final deadline for candidates to register their admission wishes to universities and colleges, nationwide there were 849,544 candidates registered.

The total number of admission wishes is 7,615,560 wishes. Accordingly, on average, each candidate registers nearly 9 wishes.

The number of candidates registering for admission accounts for 73.23% of the total number of candidates registering for the High School Graduation Exam this year.

This year is the first year that vocational colleges participate in the general admissions system of the Ministry of Education and Training . The total number of vocational colleges participating in the admissions is 194 schools.

The number of candidates registering for admission in 2025 increased by 115,892 candidates. The Ministry of Education and Training said the reason was due to more candidates registering for admission to vocational colleges.

The Ministry of Education and Training said that there are still some candidates who have submitted their registration information close to the closing time of the admission process, and the system is continuing to process them.

After registering for admission, candidates will pay the admission fee online from July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5, 2025./.
