Arrested deputy head of district ethnic affairs department for molesting female student

(Dan Tri) - A deputy head of the district's ethnic affairs department in Ca Mau was arrested for sexually harassing a female student who rented a room from him.

On January 3, according to a source from Dan Tri reporter, Mr. CVN, Deputy Head of the Ethnic Affairs Department of Tran Van Thoi district (Ca Mau province), was temporarily suspended from his position so that the authorities could clarify his behavior of molesting a female student.

Previously, Mr. N. was temporarily detained by the police.

According to initial information, Mr. N.'s family rented out a room. Near the end of December 2024, while inspecting and repairing the plumbing of a 10th grade female student's room, Mr. N. was said to have molested the female student.

After the incident, the female student informed her family. Her relatives heard the news and reported to the police.

"Local police are investigating," the reporter's source said.
