Through examination, testing and paraclinical steps, the patient was diagnosed with Ebstein type D/ Stage III heart failure/ Atrial tachycardia. Doctors performed emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation and mechanical ventilation for PNHA; at the same time, maintained cardiac support drugs and provided complete intravenous nutrition for the child.

After 13 days of intensive treatment, the patient's condition improved and he was discharged from the hospital.

According to the assessment of the doctor of the Cardiovascular - Thoracic Department - Hai Phong Children's Hospital, Ebstein's anomaly is a severe congenital heart disease with a frequency of 1-5/20,000 live births, a rate of about 1% in the group of congenital heart defects. Characterized by the movement toward the apex of the septal and posterior leaflets of the tricuspid valve.

The contact point of the valve leaflets is lowered into the right ventricle. This results in enlargement of the right atrium and reduction of the right ventricle (right ventricular atresia) and obstruction of the right ventricular outflow tract of the heart.

Epstein's anomaly is also often accompanied by other cardiovascular abnormalities such as atrial septal defect, pulmonary artery stenosis, ventricular septal defect or heart rhythm abnormalities, increasing the patient's poor prognosis.

Ebstein's anomaly, like congenital heart defects in general, can be diagnosed early and accurately by echocardiography. This is a non-invasive technique with no side effects.

If congenital heart disease is detected early and treated properly and promptly, it can help children grow, develop and have a life close to or like normal children.
