Dr. Ha Anh Duc, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health , said that the world has recorded an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in some countries such as Brazil, UK, Thailand...

In Vietnam, from the beginning of 2025 to now, there have been 148 scattered cases of COVID-19 recorded in 27 provinces and cities and no deaths.

To proactively respond to the COVID-19 epidemic situation, ensuring good examination, detection, admission and treatment of COVID-19 patients, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requests Directors of hospitals and institutes with beds under the Ministry of Health, Directors of Health Departments of provinces and centrally-run cities, Heads of Health of Ministries and branches to urgently review and update the admission and treatment plans for COVID-19 patients of the province and medical examination and treatment facilities according to the forecast of the epidemic situation, avoiding passive and unexpected response.

At the same time, prepare facilities, isolation areas, medical equipment, and medical supplies to organize admission, isolation, diagnosis, treatment, and infection control.

Strengthen infection prevention measures, especially respiratory infections, to minimize the spread of disease in medical examination and treatment facilities. Have solutions to ensure safety for patients in high-risk groups, such as pregnant women, people with underlying diseases, serious illnesses, the elderly, etc., intensive care areas, cardiovascular, artificial kidney, surgery, etc.

In addition, strengthen the work of cleaning the outside environment, cleaning the hospital rooms, arranging the departments conveniently, suitable for the epidemic situation and ensuring a green, clean and beautiful environment.

According to the Ministry of Health, Vietnam has not recorded any concentrated outbreaks, but there has been a slight increase in the number of cases in recent weeks.

The Ministry of Health has proactively strengthened the monitoring and close monitoring of the COVID-19 situation, stepped up the implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures at medical facilities and in the community; and is ready to admit, provide emergency care, and effectively treat infected cases.

The Ministry of Health continues to recommend that people take the following measures to proactively prevent COVID-19: wear masks in public places, on public transport, at medical facilities; limit gatherings in crowded places (if not necessary); wash hands regularly with clean water, soap or antiseptic solution; increase physical activity, physical training, and proper nutrition; when having symptoms of fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, go immediately to the nearest medical facility for timely examination, monitoring and treatment...

People coming to and returning from countries with high numbers of COVID-19 cases need to proactively monitor their health status to prevent and combat COVID-19 for themselves, their families and close contacts.
