From agile thinking to organizational adaptability

In 2021, while many businesses struggled to cope with the pandemic, ROX Group's Amaluna Tra Vinh construction site maintained a steady construction pace. There was no curriculum or name for "Agile", but the team's flexibility, cohesion and discipline helped it maintain progress. It was during these challenging times that the "Agile flow" began to take shape as a professional instinct of ROX people.

Along with the digital transformation roadmap since 2019, ROX Group focuses on fostering digital thinking, collaboration skills and innovation spirit for the team. As technology paves the way for a more flexible working model, organizational culture becomes an important fulcrum to help each individual dare to experiment, dare to change and adapt quickly. The connection between cultural values ​​and digital solutions has created a foundation for the Agile spirit to develop naturally in the system.

Entering 2022, when businesses across the market are still struggling to recover, ROX Group has chosen a proactive approach: Preparing response capacity for the future. Agile is identified as the core strategy to improve response speed, streamline operations and foster long-term adaptability. The three pillars of "business agility - operational adaptation - technology adaptation" have become the guiding principle throughout.

From Agile Mindset and Design Thinking workshops to internal activities such as cultural newsletters, radio, team building, and leadership sharing, Agile has gradually become the "common language" of the ROX Group team. Theoretical knowledge is transformed into small actions: short meetings, quick feedback, and work visualization. The Group also invites experts to provide in-depth training for the core team, the nuclei that spread Agile capabilities throughout the system.

General Director Tran Xuan Quang emphasized: "Agile once appeared as an instinct to help us overcome difficulties. But to become a sustainable spirit, ROX Group chose to standardize and systematize, turning that spirit into cultural and management DNA."

When leaders lead by example, teams proactively share, and repeat with purpose, Agile gradually becomes a natural rhythm - a new cultural vein that flows throughout ROX Group.

When Agile Becomes Development DNA

If training is the starting point, then real-life projects are where Agile proves its worth. The ROX Connect application, the Group's internal application, is a typical example. From a rather vague initial goal, the project team decided to "break down" the problem, test features in three-week cycles and continuously adjust according to user data. The iterative demo - feedback - editing process helps the product become smoother and smoother, quickly becoming a habit for employees across the Group.

Similarly, the Agile way of working is also clearly effective with Loyalty projects. There, departmental boundaries are narrowed, the team sits together, experiments together and changes together. Each project not only produces specific results but also trains the spirit of learning, the ability to respond quickly and the level of multi-dimensional coordination.

From a technology perspective, many internal projects have been completed at lightning speed by combining Agile with RPA and PowerBI. Some systems take only a week to deploy, meeting business needs in a timely manner, demonstrating the innovation capacity of the ROX team.

Another big move came in April 2024 when ROX Group organized a hands-on Agile Workshop, allowing the team to fully simulate the Agile standard resource - schedule - budget management process. Each member directly "collided" with the new method, better understanding the value of quick feedback and cross-functional coordination.

To ensure that Agile is not just a trend, ROX Group has developed an Agile maturity assessment framework to measure the maturity of each individual and project team. "Measure to grow" helps the Group maintain a continuous learning loop, identify strengths, areas for improvement, and adjust capacity over time.

In May 2025, Agile Community was established with more than 50 members. This is a forum for sharing experiences, visualizing user journeys, streamlining work and increasing engagement through monthly Agile Days. This model is continuing to be replicated in member units such as ROX Key, Popplife, where Agile is applied at the organizational level.

As it moves deeper into operational practice, Agile has gone beyond the role of a tool. From concept to action, from action to culture, Agile is shaping a flexible, creative, and sustainable operating style. This is an important foundation for ROX Group to create the future and pioneer in a volatile world .
