11-year-old boy dies from drowning while playing with friends on the riverbank

On the afternoon of May 28, Secretary of Hoa Binh District Party Committee - Ly Cong Bac, along with leaders of the district People's Committee, relevant departments and Vinh My A and Vinh My B communes, Hoa Binh town visited, encouraged the family and provided financial support for the 11-year-old boy NTH who died from drowning in Chua Phat hamlet, Hoa Binh town.

On behalf of the leaders of Hoa Binh district, comrade Ly Cong Bac - Secretary of the District Party Committee encouraged the family to overcome this loss and supported the family with 5 million VND, the People's Committees of 2 communes and towns supported 3 million VND. The Department ofEducation of Hoa Binh district alone mobilized teachers and students to support the family with nearly 28 million VND.

Previously, on the morning of May 28, authorities in Bac Lieu found the body of missing child NTH in the river nearly a day after the accident.

According to initial information, at around 11am on May 27, NTH and 4 friends went to the bank of the Bac Lieu - Ca Mau river to play mud throwing, at this time the tide was receding and it was raining. About 15 minutes later, H. suddenly slipped and fell into the river. The group of friends tried to pull H. up but could not, so they ran to find people nearby to help. However, when people arrived, H. had been swept away by the water, so they called the rescue team and local authorities for assistance.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police) dispatched a specialized vehicle and dozens of officers and soldiers to quickly go to the scene to search for the victims.

After nearly a day of searching, at around 9:30 a.m. on May 28, authorities discovered H's body about 500 meters from the scene of the incident.
