DTO - On the afternoon of May 29, at the Provincial Trade Union Cultural House (Ward 1, Cao Lanh City), the Emulation Cluster of the Labor Federations of the provinces in the North Hau River region held a conference to review the emulation and reward work in the first 5 months of 2025. Attending the conference were representatives of the leaders of the Office of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the Department of Home Affairs; leaders of the Labor Federations of the provinces: Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Tra Vinh, Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre .

In the first 5 months of 2025, the Confederation of Labor of the provinces in the North of Hau River region focused on achieving and exceeding many targets according to the plan. The methods of leadership and organization of trade union activities in a number of areas have been innovative, flexible and creative. The role of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers, especially participating in the implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulations; negotiating and signing collective labor agreements; and legal consultancy activities have been focused on, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations. The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions has achieved many positive results. Notably, the Confederation of Labor of the provinces in the North of Hau River region has recruited more than 31,400 new union members, bringing the total number of union members in the Emulation Cluster to more than 830,000 workers, civil servants and laborers.

Implementing the "Union Shelter" Program, in the first 5 months of the year, the Labor Federation of the provinces in the North of Hau River supported the construction and repair of 200 houses for union members with difficult housing circumstances, with a total amount of more than 11.9 billion VND. At the same time, it directed grassroots unions to organize Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2025 with many practical and meaningful activities, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility for union members and employees in implementing regulations on ensuring occupational safety and health. The Labor Federation of the provinces in the North Hau River region launched many emulation movements such as: "Good worker, Creative worker", "Innovation, creativity, efficiency in Union activities", "Good at public work, good at housework", "Green - Clean - Beautiful, Ensuring occupational safety and hygiene"... Thereby, contributing to improving the effectiveness of Union activities, practically caring for the material and spiritual life of Union members and employees.

Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Labor Federation of the provinces in the North Hau River region will continue to closely follow the political tasks of the locality, the guidelines of the Party Committee and the authorities at the same level to concretize them into the tasks of the Trade Union activities in accordance with reality. At the same time, continue to implement the review and arrangement of the apparatus and personnel of specialized Trade Union agencies in the direction of streamlining, suitability and efficiency. Promote emulation movements, actively care for the material and spiritual life, protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
