When the baby was brought to the hospital, his whole body was purple, his body temperature was low, he was crying, and his umbilical cord had not been cut (the umbilical cord was intact, with the placenta attached); weight when he was brought to the hospital: 3.1 kg.
Previously, at around 7:20 a.m. on October 28, Mr. Nguyen Van Cong and Ms. Vo Thi Thuy (residing in Block 5, Truong Vinh Ward, Nghe An Province) discovered a newborn baby in a ditch next to their house, with the umbilical cord still attached, purple, and crying weakly.
Afterwards, Mr. Cong and Mrs. Thuy took the child to the ward health station, where the health station staff performed first aid and urgently took the child to Vinh City General Hospital - Facility 1 for further emergency care.

Immediately after receiving the baby, the Obstetrics Department 01 consulted with the Pediatrics Department to conduct emergency treatment: cutting the umbilical cord, warming, oxygenation, blood sugar testing and care. Currently, the baby is awake, feeding well, and gradually stabilizing. However, the baby did not have any identification documents or contact information with him.
Vinh City General Hospital has reported to Nghe An Department of Health, People's Committee, and Truong Vinh Ward Police about the case of abandoned newborn baby to have a support plan.
