Spreading the movement "Building friendly schools

Visiting Ta Mung Primary School for Ethnic Minorities in October, we saw that the school campus had changed significantly, the classrooms were spacious and clean; the school yard was more brilliant with rows of fresh green trees and colorful flower beds. The teachers welcomed us with bright eyes, smiles, and warm handshakes; the warm greetings of the students dispelled the hardships after a journey of more than 100km.

It is known that in the 2025-2026 school year, the school has 22 classes with 537 students; 50 administrators, teachers and staff. In recent years, the school has implemented many emulation movements launched by the Department of Education and Training to improve the quality of comprehensive education. In particular, the movement "Building a friendly school - Active students" has been focused on by the school with many good practices and new models, creating motivation for teachers and students to compete in teaching and learning.

With the characteristic of nearly 100% of students being Thai and Mong ethnic minorities, therefore, in addition to building schools and spacious classrooms with smart learning equipment, the school directs professional groups, teachers, especially homeroom teachers and team leaders to organize a variety of activities and movements associated with the theme "Friendly school, active students" such as: "Green - clean - beautiful classroom", "Every week a beautiful story, a good book, a shining example"; "Friendly reading corner", "Ethnic cultural space"... Through activities, all aim to help students practice life skills, solidarity, love of ethnic culture and live responsibly towards the community.

Along with cultural and artistic activities, the school established clubs: Math, Vietnamese, STEM, cultural identity preservation, life skills, I love art... for students to participate. Every week, it organizes training classes to improve knowledge for boarding students. Encourage and guide students to participate in online competitions, painting competitions, and the UPU International Letter Writing Competition. It is known that in the 2024-2025 school year, students from the whole school participated in 10 competitions with more than 500 entries. Currently, the school is maintaining 12 clubs with the participation of more than 300 students.

Thanks to flexible and creative approaches, the movement "Building a friendly school - Active students" has contributed to improving the comprehensive education quality of Ta Mung Primary Ethnic Minority School. Students attend class more diligently, are bold and confident in communication, and actively participate in experiential activities; the rate of good and excellent students is increasing; the rate of weak students is decreasing; there is no dropout. In the 2024-2025 school year, 100% of students are assessed for their qualities and abilities, an increase of 0.2% compared to the previous school year; of which 25.7% of students completed excellently, the rest completed well and completed. The school's current attendance rate remains above 98%.

With the motto "Every day at school is a happy day", in the coming time, Ta Mung Primary Ethnic Minority School will continue to flexibly and diversely organize activities to spread the movement "Building a friendly school - Active students" associated with "Building a safe, healthy, friendly educational environment, preventing school violence".
