Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital: Handing over patients without relatives to the Provincial Center for Social Protection and Social Work

The patient is Mr. NTK (about 54 years old), who was admitted to the Provincial General Hospital with thigh and back injuries due to a traffic accident. After initial first aid, Mr. K. was transferred to the Trauma and Orthopedics - Burn Center for further treatment. Currently, he has recovered his health and is eligible for discharge. During the treatment, the patient had no relatives to take care of or contact, all living and treatment expenses were supported by benefactors connected by the hospital's Social Work Department. In order to help Mr. K., the hospital proactively contacted relevant agencies to complete the documents and legal procedures, and coordinated with the Provincial Social Protection and Social Work Center to bring Mr. K. to the center for care in a suitable environment.

Patient K. was taken to the Provincial Center for Social Protection and Social Work.

Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial General Hospital has successfully coordinated the handover of 37 extremely disadvantaged patients without relatives to social protection facilities in the province for care and nurturing.
