The fourth facility of the K Hospital will be built in Huu Hoa Commune, Thanh Tri District, Hanoi. In particular, there will be a Proton Radiotherapy Center and a radioactive isotope production area, along with many modern medical equipment, to improve the quality of treatment for cancer patients in Vietnam.

On July 17, at the conference to deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024, Mr. Le Van Quang, Director of K Hospital, said that in the coming time, the hospital will build a 4th facility in Huu Hoa commune, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi .

Accordingly, after the Ministry of Health and the Hanoi People's Committee have completed all legal procedures, in the third quarter of this year, K Hospital will begin clearing the land to build the hospital's fourth facility in Huu Hoa commune. The land for the hospital to build the fourth facility has an area of about 8.6 hectares, nearly one and a half times larger than the hospital's third facility (in Tan Trieu, Thanh Tri).

K Hospital will build a fourth treatment facility in Hanoi to meet the needs of patients.

In particular, the fourth facility of K Hospital will be the place to place high-tech equipment and radiotherapy, aiming to improve the quality of treatment for cancer patients in Vietnam. "The fourth facility of K Hospital is where we will place the Proton Radiotherapy Center, the on-site radioactive isotope production area and a number of treatment beds. The investment in building a high-quality cancer center equipped with advanced radiotherapy systems of regional and world standards aims to improve the quality of cancer treatment for patients right in the country, without having to go abroad for treatment," Mr. Le Van Quang stated. At the same time, he said that the Proton Radiotherapy Center alone will be the first Proton center in the North, used to treat neurological cancers, especially in children, and lung and prostate cancers.

According to Mr. Le Van Quang, the current 3 treatment facilities of K Hospital only meet about 20% of the needs of patients, so having more modern treatment facilities will help reduce the load on existing specialized oncology hospitals.
