Provincial Social Insurance urges collection and development of social insurance and health insurance participants by the end of 2025

In Hong Gai ward, the provincial Social Insurance organized a conference to urge the collection, reduction of arrears and development of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance participants in the last months of 2025. The conference was attended by representatives of Vietnam Social Insurance and more than 100 delegates who are leaders and specialists of the provincial and grassroots Social Insurance.

Leaders of Quang Ninh Provincial Social Insurance gave directions at the conference.

According to the report, in the first 9 months of 2025, the whole province had 321,779 people participating in social insurance, an increase of 9,934 people compared to the same period, reaching 93.53% of the plan, accounting for 50.36% of the working-age labor force. Of which, the number of people participating in compulsory social insurance reached 275,493 people; voluntary social insurance 46,286 people; unemployment insurance 264,720 people; the total number of people participating in health insurance was nearly 1.3 million people, the health insurance coverage rate reached 95.75% of the province's population. The total revenue from social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance in the whole province reached 7,091 billion VND, an increase of 952 billion compared to the same period in 2024; the amount of late social insurance payment was 384.5 billion VND, accounting for 4.04% of the total revenue in 2025...

The conference pointed out difficulties, such as: Many small businesses, limited resources, employees and employers are not fully aware of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance obligations; data in coordination with tax authorities sometimes does not accurately reflect the participants; some businesses are slow to pay for a long time, despite many inspections and checks...

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and proposing solutions to carry out tasks in the remaining months of 2025, including: Urging debt collection, publicizing the list on the media, classifying and reviewing units by locality, organizing dialogues, promoting voluntary social insurance, coordinating with businesses and medical facilities to support health insurance cards for people in difficulty...
