Secretary of the City Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai sent a letter of commendation to the Hanoi City Police.

On the afternoon of June 23, at a press conference on the results of the investigation of a number of cases, the Hanoi City Police announced a Letter of Commendation from Politburo member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation Bui Thi Minh Hoai sent to the Office of the Investigation Police Agency, Hanoi City Police.

The letter of commendation stated that on June 7, 2025, the City Police presided over and coordinated with professional units to focus on fighting and destroying criminal gangs: Giving bribes; Receiving bribes; Organizing illegal use of drugs; Illegal possession of drugs; Taking advantage of positions and powers while performing official duties related to leaders and staff of the Central Institute of Forensic Psychiatry.

This is a tightly organized criminal gang with sophisticated and complex methods of operation, of a particularly serious nature. Up to now, the Investigation Police Agency, the City Police have coordinated with the City People's Procuracy to initiate criminal proceedings, prosecuting 38 defendants for the crimes of "Giving bribes", "Receiving bribes", "Organizing illegal use of narcotics", "Illegal possession of narcotics", "Abusing positions and powers while performing official duties"; have confiscated and frozen many assets related to the case worth tens of billions of dong.

“The outstanding achievements of the City Police and the City People's Procuracy in the fight against crime have contributed to ensuring security and order, for the peaceful and happy life of the people. The investigation and discovery of the case has greatly influenced public opinion and created strong confidence for all classes of people in the capital. This achievement is of great significance in contributing to promoting the emulation movement to achieve achievements in welcoming Party congresses at all levels towards the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term,” the letter of commendation stated.

On behalf of the city's leaders, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai warmly commended and recognized the outstanding achievements of the collective of officers and soldiers of the city's police: Office of the Investigation Police Agency, Department of Drug Crime Investigation Police, Department of Professional Techniques; City People's Procuracy.

Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her belief that in the coming time, comrades will continue to promote their responsibilities, strive, and achieve more achievements, contributing to ensuring security and order, for the peaceful and happy life of the people of the capital.

With the same achievements mentioned above, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, sent a letter of commendation to the Hanoi City Police.

The letter of commendation from the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security assessed this as an outstanding achievement, demonstrating the high sense of responsibility and the intelligence and sharpness of the Hanoi City Police in implementing the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security in the fight against corruption and crimes of positions and violations of the activities of agencies and organizations.

The results of the investigation of the case reflected the spirit of active and effective cooperation between the local police and the professional units of the Ministry; thereby establishing achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the People's Public Security force, contributing to protecting the strictness of the law, deterring and preventing crimes, and enhancing the position and prestige of the People's Public Security force.

On this occasion, Hanoi City Police announced the Letter of Commendation from Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang to the City Police and its affiliated professional units.

The letter of commendation stated that in recent days, the Hanoi City Police Department has directed the Police Department for Investigation of Crimes of Corruption, Economy, Smuggling, and Environment, the Economic Crime Prevention and Investigation Team, and the Corruption Prevention and Investigation Team in the fields of Finance and Banking to closely coordinate with the Tax Department of Region I to investigate a number of individuals who are famous people on social networks (KOLs), taking advantage of their influence on cyberspace to commit violations of tax and accounting laws. Initially, the authorities have identified the subjects causing damage to the state budget of more than 10 billion VND and have prosecuted 3 subjects to investigate and clarify their violations of the law.

The Minister assessed that this was an outstanding achievement of the officers and soldiers of the Hanoi City Police, the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes, Smuggling, and Environmental Crimes; the Team for Prevention and Investigation of Economic Crimes, Corruption in the Financial and Banking Sectors in the fight against crimes involving e-commerce. This achievement has contributed positively to the work of ensuring discipline, fairness, and transparency in business, especially at a time when the country is promoting the emulation movement to achieve achievements to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.
