He thanked the Australian Embassy in Vietnam for actively supporting the cooperation activities between Da Nang and Australian localities and partners in recent times.
Sharing with the Ambassador some new points about the socio-economic situation of Da Nang city, comrade Le Ngoc Quang said that socio-economic activities in the city have developed stably, contributing to promoting the city's economic growth, aiming for double-digit growth in 2025.
At the same time, he emphasized that Vietnam and Australia have established a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2024, opening up many opportunities for in-depth cooperation in economics, innovation, education , energy transition and maritime security.
Da Nang City hopes that through her visit and work, The Ambassador in Da Nang will connect and discuss the phase of practical and sustainable cooperation between Da Nang and Australian partners. Contribute to helping Da Nang realize the goal of becoming an international innovation, logistics and tourism center of Vietnam and the region.

Sharing with the authorities and people of Da Nang about the heavy damage caused by recent floods, Ms. Gillian Bird PSM believes that the city will soon overcome the consequences of the storm and stabilize people's lives. She also said that this was her first visit to Da Nang city in her capacity as Australian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam.
Da Nang City is one of the localities actively participating in programs and projects sponsored by the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and United Nations agencies, especially in the fields of promoting gender equality, sustainable development, and projects to eliminate violence against women and children.
Currently, Da Nang has signed 3 Memorandums of Understanding to establish cooperative relations with Australian localities including Queensland, South Australia and Gold Coast. The Ambassador hopes to continue to receive more support and cooperation from Da Nang in the future.
