Binh Xuyen is determined to complete assigned targets and tasks.

The year 2024 is of great significance to accelerate the completion of the targets and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term. Therefore, from the beginning of the year, the Party Committees and authorities at all levels of Binh Xuyen district have proactively developed specific plans with high determination to successfully complete the assigned targets and tasks.

In 2023, Binh Xuyen district was assigned by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee 16 major groups of tasks with 32 specific targets, including new and difficult tasks such as striving to have more than 80% of village chiefs and residential group leaders being Party members; a minimum production value growth rate of 16.8%; completing compensation and site clearance for key projects and backlog projects...

In addition to the targets and tasks assigned by the Provincial Party Committee, Binh Xuyen District Party Committee assigned 3 more tasks to agencies, units and localities, including maintaining and ensuring 100% of provincial and district roads are environmentally clean; issuing 250 first-time land use right certificates to people; and inspecting public services at least 25% of agencies and units.

Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of Binh Xuyen District Party Committee Tran Le shared: Although there are many difficult tasks and targets, with the determination of the entire political system, in 2023, Binh Xuyen district still completed 30/32 targets assigned by the province. Of which, 100% of targets on Party building and the political system were completed; 16/18 targets on socio-economics, national defense and security.

Economic growth rate reached 10.23%, leading the whole province. Total production value is estimated at over 230,000 billion VND, reaching 93.64% of the plan, up 9.3% over the same period; budget revenue exceeded the set target with nearly 3,400 billion VND, up 22.6% compared to 2022; the poverty rate decreased to 0.57%.

Based on the achieved results, from the beginning of 2024, Binh Xuyen district has reviewed the remaining work; based on the targets and tasks of 2024 to build an action program, propose solutions for implementation according to the roadmap.

The District Party Committee directed Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to frankly point out the shortcomings and shortcomings of 2023; develop a plan to overcome them, closely following the goals and tasks of 2024 to implement with high determination.

The District Party Committee has developed a thematic resolution; organized the signing of commitments and assigned specific targets and tasks to the Heads of Party Building Committees, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations and heads of Party committees and authorities of communes and towns in the area.

In the work of building the Party and the political system, the district continues to propagate and disseminate the Party's directives and resolutions and the province's guiding documents to cadres, party members and people; doing well the work of building the Party in terms of ideology, ethics, organization and personnel work.

The district focuses on breakthroughs, key projects and works; promotes potential and advantages for economic development, especially industry, services, and tourism; develops agriculture towards commodity and sustainability.

Accelerate the progress of infrastructure development investment projects, site clearance for key projects of the province and projects serving the socio-economic development tasks of the district. Continue to allocate resources to build Model Cultural Villages (LVHKM) phase 1, phase 2 and implement mechanisms and policies to support the construction of Model Cultural Villages according to Resolution No. 06, 08 of the Provincial People's Council.

The district combines economic development with ensuring social security; allocates resources for education, healthcare, vocational training, job creation, capital support for economic development, and sustainable poverty reduction. Pays attention to caring for policy families, meritorious people, and social protection beneficiaries; effectively implements national defense and security work and thoroughly resolves complaints and denunciations, preventing the formation of "hot spots" in the area.

Right from the beginning of 2024, the district has thoroughly instructed cadres, party members, and civil servants to implement discipline and public administrative discipline; focus on resolving slow-progress and backlog cases in 2023; and do a good job of budget collection and disbursement of public investment capital.

Directing sectors, localities and units to launch emulation movements and campaigns to arouse the spirit of solidarity, creativity and high determination of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, people, businesses and the entire political system to complete the goals, targets and tasks of the whole year.
