Reviewing the tradition of the Dong Nai Provincial Armed Forces, Colonel Bui Dang Ninh, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, said: After the success of the August Revolution in 1945, Bien Hoa formed many armed organizations founded by patriots.

To unify the leadership and command of the resistance forces in the province, under the direction of the Regional Party Committee and the Regional Command, on May 15, 1946, the Bien Hoa Provincial Party Committee convened a provincial Military Conference, resolving two issues: Unifying the armed forces, naming it the Bien Hoa National Guard; building War Zone D into the province's resistance base. The event on May 15, 1946 became an important milestone marking the birth of the Dong Nai Provincial Armed Forces.

Over the past 79 years, the armed forces of Dong Nai province have upheld the good qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, creating the tradition of "loyalty, filial piety, bravery, steadfastness, initiative, creativity, solidarity and determination to win"; making great contributions to the cause of national liberation, international missions; building and defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam. That tradition will forever be a source of pride, a source of encouragement and motivation for generations of cadres and soldiers of the provincial armed forces in the new period...

Inheriting and continuing the glorious tradition, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command continue to thoroughly grasp and register to well implement the models of the Military Region that have led and directed the replication of many outstanding and typical models such as: "Excellent training, strict discipline, high combat readiness"; the model of Militia holding households at the place of residence; "Enterprises accompany local Party committees and authorities in performing local military and defense tasks"; "Meeting of religious dignitaries and officials"...

Speaking at the meeting, the leader of Dong Nai province emphasized that the provincial armed forces need to continue to thoroughly grasp the directives, resolutions and instructions from above on military and defense tasks, build a strong armed force; constantly improve the quality of training and combat readiness, ensuring that officers and soldiers have both a strong political stance and good fighting skills.
