During the patrol, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Hiep, Deputy Chief of Staff, Dien Bien Provincial Border Guard Command and Lieutenant Colonel Lam Vi, Deputy Chief of Staff, Mong Tu Regional Border Guard agreed on the patrol method; at the same time, evaluated the results of the coordination in border management and protection between the two sides in the past time and the direction of work in the coming time.

According to the patrol commander method agreed by both sides, the patrol team of A Pa Chai Border Guard Station and Kim Binh Meeting and Reunion Station conducted patrols in the method of point-to-point, line-to-line, side-to-side; applying the form of walking and driving to conduct bilateral patrols.
The two sides organized a patrol formation from border marker No. 3 to border marker No. 1 of the Vietnam-China land border, which is 3.2 km long. During the patrol, the two sides cleared the patrol route, cleaned the area around the border marker; met and shared information about the actual situation of the border area under the management of both sides, which always has the potential for transnational terrorist crimes, illegal border crossings, illegal entry and exit, and complicated criminal activities.
Bilateral patrols show that the border and national border markers are intact, and no signs or incidents of violations of border regulations have been detected.

At the end of the patrol, the two sides evaluated the results of the patrol. At the same time, they agreed to continue to maintain normal correspondence and hotline phone calls in the coming time, and to coordinate in handling issues related to border management and protection, preventing and combating crimes.
The two sides will strengthen bilateral patrols to promptly detect and prevent violations of the law, especially illegal entry and exit, human trafficking, smuggling and other crimes, and jointly maintain security and stability in border areas.
The bilateral patrol between the Dien Bien Provincial Border Guard and the Mong Tu Regional Border Guard has become a bright spot in border diplomacy.
The two sides have done a good job of coordinating border management and protection in accordance with legal documents on the Vietnam-China land border, regularly coordinating propaganda and education to raise awareness of self-compliance with border laws for the people of both sides, contributing to promoting socio -economic development in border areas; contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developed Vietnam-China border.
