Immediately after completing the mission of helping people overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 in Con Cuong and Tuong Duong communes, receiving orders from the Head of Military Region 4 Command, Division 324 continued to mobilize hundreds of officers and soldiers to the "flood center" areas of My Ly, Bac Ly, Muong Tip, and Muong Xen.
Bumpy roads, landslides, knee-deep mud, raging streams... cannot stop the soldiers' footsteps. Rain or shine, day or night, officers and soldiers still tirelessly work with the people to overcome landslides, repair houses, schools, medical stations, rebuild each sheet of corrugated iron roof that was blown away, pick up each remaining brick, reconnect the traffic arteries on the inter-village roads... In the eyes of the elderly tremblingly holding the hands of the soldiers, in the bright smiles of the children being carried across the water, there is so much love, trust and respect. They are not only soldiers performing their duties, but have become children in the big family of the ethnic people here.
For more than a week, officers and soldiers of Regiment 335 "ate, lived, and worked together", helping to repair dozens of houses, clear inter-village roads, clean up 6 schools, cultural houses, and community centers, spray disinfectant, prevent and fight epidemics, provide medical care, distribute many essential necessities, and give many gifts to families that suffered heavy losses... The image of soldiers sharing with the people bottles of water, loaves of bread, or makeshift meals on the roadside... has left a deep impression in the hearts of the people in the flooded areas here.
