Regarding the fact that many social sciences and humanities (KHXH-NV) majors do not consider the C00 combination, this morning, June 6, a leader of the Ministry of Education and Training said that the Ministry has discussed with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi about using combinations in the admission process.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the admission regulations stipulate that the subject group used for admission includes at least 3 subjects suitable to the characteristics and requirements of the training program, including math or literature with a weighted score of not less than 25%.
In the guidelines for implementing university and college admissions in 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training also requires schools to ensure scientific and practicality when developing subject combinations or independent assessment tests for admission, ensuring the selection of candidates with basic knowledge and core competencies appropriate to the training program.
Therefore, in response to public opinion that many schools do not use the C00 combination to recruit many social sciences and humanities majors while this is the original combination of block C, the traditional recruitment block for these majors, the Ministry of Education and Training has discussed with schools to review and reconsider, in the spirit of ensuring fairness in recruitment.
However, when talking to Thanh Nien Newspaper reporters, the above leader clearly stated that the Ministry of Education and Training did not "blow the whistle" on schools that did not use the C00 combination to recruit social sciences and humanities. The Ministry only discussed with schools to review and reconsider the use of the recruitment combinations, ensuring proper implementation of recruitment regulations and ensuring the rights of candidates.
Today, the Ministry of Education and Training will have an official announcement about this.
