Ministry of Education and Training appraises textbooks compiled according to the 2018 General Education Program

Specifically, based on Plan No. 1197/KH-BGDDT dated September 10, 2024 and Plan No. 1129/KH-BGDDT dated August 26, 2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training on organizing the appraisal of textbooks compiled according to the 2018 General Education Program, the Ministry of Education and Training announces the organization of appraisal of textbooks of organizations and individuals compiling textbooks to meet the General Education Program issued together with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training on promulgating the General Education Program and Circular No. 13/2022/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training: Amending and supplementing a number of contents in the General Education Program issued together with Circular No. 32 and regulations in a number of other legal documents in the field of Education and Training.

The Ministry of Education and Training stated that organizations and individuals requesting textbook appraisal must register the quantity and name of textbook samples of subjects and educational activities compiled according to the General Education Program according to Circular No. 32 and Circular No. 13 on the Ministry of Education and Training before April 15, 2025. The registration form must be sent to the address: Department of General Education, Ministry of Education and Training, No. 35 Dai Co Viet, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi (if the dossier is sent by post, the time is calculated according to the date of the postmark on the parcel).

The number of textbook samples of each subject and educational activity registered is the basis for the Ministry of Education and Training to receive applications for textbook appraisal.

The dossier for requesting textbook appraisal includes: Number of textbook samples; explanation of the textbook sample proposed for appraisal (name of textbook; assignment of tasks and responsibilities of the editor-in-chief, editor-in-chief if the textbook has an editor-in-chief, editor-in-chief, author; purpose of compilation, objects and scope of use; structure, content; compilation process); experimental process and results; acceptance of comments and evaluations of textbook samples from scientists, educators, teachers; program distribution. Each textbook sample proposed for appraisal must submit 15 sets of documents.

Application form for textbook appraisal according to Circular 33/2017/TT-BGDDT stipulating standards, procedures for compiling and editing textbooks, standards for organizations and individuals compiling textbooks, organization and operation of the National Council for Textbook Appraisal.

Time for receiving documents is from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on June 20, 2025. If documents are sent by post, the time is calculated according to the date of the postmark on the package. The location for receiving documents is at the Ministry of Education and Training, No. 35 Dai Co Viet Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi City. Unit receiving documents: Department of General Education, Ministry of Education and Training.
