
The Ministry of Education and Training requires unification of admission methods for all training programs for talented engineers and masters; admission methods for doctoral training according to each field and group of fields.
This is one of the notable points in Official Dispatch No. 5695/BGDĐT - GDĐH sent by the Ministry of Education and Training to higher education institutions to implement the Project on training human resources to serve high-tech development in the period 2025 - 2035, with a vision to 2045, according to Decision No. 1002/QD-TTg dated May 24, 2025 of the Prime Minister.
Also according to the above document, the Ministry of Education and Training requires schools to develop regulations for coordinating training organization; invite good lecturers and experienced experts to guide and support learners; thoroughly apply modern training methods and advanced educational technology, suitable for talented students and trainees, and enhance real-life experiences.
Training institutions review and innovate training programs in science , technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to meet program standards, practical requirements and access international standards; encourage the application of a convergent education model, focusing on practical capacity and interdisciplinary approach, especially postgraduate training programs in digital technology, artificial intelligence and biotechnology.
Based on their capacity and strengths in research and training, schools will plan and organize enrollment and training programs for talented engineers and masters from 2025 to 2035, invite good lecturers to participate, apply modern training methods and advanced technology, and ensure the goals set in each stage.
The Ministry of Education and Training also noted that higher education institutions need to closely link the training process with scientific research and technological innovation, incubate and develop strong research groups, especially interdisciplinary and inter-school research groups; attract and employ people with PhD degrees in STEM fields working abroad; prioritize recruitment and send lecturers to study for PhD degrees in STEM fields abroad.
In addition, schools need to prioritize investment in upgrading laboratory systems, technology and learning materials to serve high-tech training and research; mobilize financial support and scholarships from businesses, creating conditions for learners to practice and intern at businesses.
