Ministry of Education and Training prohibits people in the industry from giving Tet gifts to superiors

The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued Document 7207/BGDĐT-VP to the Departments of Education and Training, universities, academies, colleges, and pedagogical colleges regarding the organization of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024.

Accordingly, the Ministryof Education and Training requires units to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement Directive No. 26-CT/TU dated November 23, 2023 of the Secretariat on organizing the Giap Thin New Year 2024; Directive No. 30/CT-TTg dated December 15, 2023 of the Prime Minister on strengthening measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe and economical celebration of the Giap Thin New Year 2024;

Promote the responsibility of leaders, be ready to respond to all situations.

At the same time, strengthen propaganda and education for students to practice civilized lifestyle, maintain social order and safety, traffic safety, and strictly implement regulations on management and use of fireworks;

Improve skills in preventing accidents and injuries, avoiding social evils and ensuring safety, especially safety in cyberspace.

In addition, units need to strictly implement the assignment of duty and protection of agencies and schools during Tet holidays; ensure the plan of tasks for the 2023-2024 school year after Tet holidays; Closely coordinate with functional agencies, ensure absolute safety of facilities, equipment, and fire and explosion prevention and fighting.

The Ministry of Education and Training also requires units to proactively have plans to care for the material and spiritual lives of cadres, civil servants and public employees; Pay attention to families in difficult circumstances, remote areas, border areas, islands, ethnic minority areas and mountainous areas;

Ensure festival activities, spring celebrations, traditional anniversaries, year-end conferences, New Year meetings, tree planting festivals... are practical, safe, economical, and appropriate.

Schools need to proactively contact and coordinate with passenger transport businesses to organize the sale of train and bus tickets at schools for students to return home for Tet; carefully organize Tet celebrations for students in difficult circumstances who cannot return home to celebrate Tet with their families.

The Ministry of Education and Training requires units not to organize visits and New Year greetings to superiors and leaders at all levels; strictly prohibit giving or presenting New Year gifts to leaders at all levels in any form;

Only attend pagodas and festivals when assigned; do not participate in superstitious activities; do not use state budget, means, or public assets against regulations.
