At the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the afternoon of April 24, answering reporters' questions about the information about soldiers from China, Laos and Cambodia attending the ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, and Vietnam's message, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang emphasized: The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day is a particularly important event, not only for the Vietnamese people but also has profound significance for international friends who have accompanied, supported and helped Vietnam in the resistance war for national independence. In particular, China, Laos and Cambodia are three neighboring countries with traditional and long-standing friendship with Vietnam.
"We are pleased to have the participation of the Lao, Chinese and Cambodian military forces in the parade, demonstrating the increasingly strong solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and these countries," Ms. Pham Thu Hang affirmed.
Up to now, at the invitation of Vietnam, many delegations of high-ranking leaders of political parties, representatives of a number of international organizations, peace movements, anti-war movements and international friends, including the United States, have confirmed their attendance at the commemoration.

The past years have witnessed the great efforts of many generations of Vietnamese and American people to develop the relationship between the two countries as it is today. Celebrating April 30 is an occasion to honor the immortal values of forgiveness, peace, reconciliation, healing, and the spirit of putting the past behind and looking toward the future.
From former enemies, Vietnam and the United States normalized, established diplomatic relations in 1995 and established a Comprehensive Partnership in 2013, and most recently upgraded the relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development.
The continued strong development of Vietnam-US relations is in line with the common interests and aspirations of the people of the two countries and contributes to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region as well as in the world.
